We were awoken by the sounds of the"uh-oh" birds roosting on Blue Moon's bow. By 8:00(Alaimo time), we were picking up the anchor. We checked the weather forecast for this week. The front is still coming throughon Tuesday evening, but now they are predicting 20 kts of wind through Friday. Matt and I decided that we would prefer to be in the protected ICW and moving as little as possible if the winds were 20kts. So, we changed today's destination to Cortez/Bradenton Beach . That will have us crossing the Tampa Bay today. Even though it was about 11nm further, we thought it was the best option for us. Tomorrow, we want to be south of Sarasota Bay which is rather large and will kick up in 20 kts.
